Combining sophistication with flexible imaging capabilities, the Leica SL2 is the second-generation SL camera that combines capable photo and video specifications with a refined design. With a 47.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor and Maestro III image processor, the fast and smooth performance enables continuous shooting at up to 20 fps, 6 fps AF-C shooting, 5K video at 30 fps and DCI 4K60 video with 10-bit colour sampling.
The sensor design also incorporates a Leica Object Detection AF system, which uses 225 selectable AF areas for fast and accurate performance. In addition to complementing photo and video applications, a 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilisation system minimises the appearance of camera shake for sharper manual shooting. Beyond the updated images, the SL2 also features an updated body design that includes a new 5.76m dot EyeRes OLED EVF and a large 3.2" 2.1m dot LCD touchscreen.
Also featured is a top status LCD for quick recognition of shooting settings and dual UHS-II compatible SD memory card slots for flexible file storage. In addition, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work in conjunction with the Leica FOTOs app for wireless file transfer and remote camera control.
