The RX0 II is the ideal shooting companion. Its powerful 1.0-type sensor and low-distortion ZEISS® Tessar T* lens capture stunning images even in low light, which you can easily share with your smartphone. It features internal 4K video recording, incredible image stabilisation, an improved minimum focusing distance of 20cm and a 180° tilting LCD screen.

Smooth skin effect

For better portraits and selfies, the camera's Soft Skin mode reduces fine facial wrinkles and skin dullness without losing clarity in your subject's eyes and mouth.

Eye AF

When shooting portraits and selfies, the RX0 II's convenient Eye AF function automatically focuses on the subject's eyes.

Internal 4K movie recording with full pixel readout

The RX0 II records 4K movies with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, and uses superior 1.7x oversampling to produce incredibly sharp images and action scenes. Despite its compact size, the camera supports internal 4K 30p (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) recording, ideal for shooting high image quality video while travelling or capturing everyday scenes.

Rugged design for worry-free shooting

As well as being super-compact and lightweight, the RX0 II is extremely rugged. No problem packing it in a bag, carrying it with a strap or using it in situations you've never shot in before.

The RX0 II is a small but amazing camera. It's easy to carry anywhere and produces high quality images. Its simple design with no protrusions makes it easy to place, move and store.

Waterproof and dustproof

Up to 10 metres deep. The RX0 II lets you shoot under salt or fresh water, poolside or in a rainstorm to expand your shooting potential. Don't bother to protect it from rain or splashing drinks and use it worry-free in sandy and dusty locations, all without the need for a waterproof case or additional accessories.

Shock resistant

Thanks to its shock-resistant design, you don't have to worry about the occasional accident: the RX0 II's robust body is designed to withstand the impact of a fall from a height of 2 metres.

Crush resistant

Up to 200 kgf or 2000. Don't bother to treat it too gently: put the camera in a bag or pocket and take it out anywhere without worry.

Tilt LCD monitor perfect for selfies

The camera's LCD monitor tilts upwards by 180° for easy framing of selfies and video blogs. Its waterproof and dustproof design allows for underwater photography. The monitor also tilts down by 90° to help shooting from an elevated angle.

Extended control with the optional recording controller

The VCT-SGR1 Recording Remote includes built-in controls so you can forget about the shutter and record and zoom directly from the remote. It can also be converted and used as a tabletop tripod.

External microphone with high quality sound

Despite its ultra-compact size, the RX0 II features a built-in microphone socket for connecting an external microphone for better quality sound for movies and video blogging.

960 fps/1000 fps super slow motion movie capture

With 960 fps/1000 fps frame rate recording you can capture fast action scenes in super slow motion. You can even record in Full HD at up to 120 fps/100 fps.

Interval recording to create time-lapse movies

The camera's new time-lapse recording function enables continuous shooting at an interval of between 1 and 60 seconds, and the resulting photos can be edited on a PC to create a time-lapse movie.

16 fps continuous shooting with less black space

The RX0 II's continuous shooting capabilities allow you to better capture decisive moments of action and fleeting facial expressions. Up to 129 JPEG (standard) images can be taken in a single burst.

Anti-distortion shutter up to 1/32 000s

The anti-distortion shutter achieves shutter speeds up to 1/32 000 seconds and is designed to minimise the phenomenon of shutter creep, which can distort images of fast-moving subjects.

Picture profiles for professionals

With Picture Profiles and S-Log2 you can set the overall tone of your footage from the camera body, as well as adjust parameters that affect the final look of your movies.

Wireless control of multiple cameras

The perfect setup for occasional smartphone use. Sony's Imaging Edge Mobile app controls multiple cameras with a smartphone or mobile device. The wireless connection gives you more flexibility in positioning the cameras, which are small and rugged enough to take anywhere you want.

Multi-camera shooting with wired connection

Precise and accurate control for professional workflows. The optional Camera Control Box (CCB-WD1) allows you to control multiple cameras at once and change settings remotely from a connected PC. This ensures a stable connection and precise synchronisation between multiple cameras, as well as immediate file transfer from them for easy file management.
