This camera's incredible light-gathering capabilities let you create in any light. You'll get clean full-frame images throughout the ultra-wide-angle ISO range when shooting stills and clean results when shooting video. The faster, high-performance buffer lets you shoot up to 200 JPEG images or 124 uncompressed 12-bit RAW images in a single burst. A high refresh rate means you won't miss a second, and dual EXPEED engines ensure lightning-fast recording speeds
Dual card slots for a smooth workflow
With two memory card slots at your disposal, you have space to suit any workflow. Separate still images from movies or RAW images from JPEG images. Copy files from one card to another. Set up backup and backup slots. You can use UHS-II SD cards in one slot and XQD cards or the new ultra-fast CFexpress cards in the other.
Never stop
Shooting interviews? You can operate the camera with a USB Type-C cable and even charge the battery while shooting. The camera keeps working even on long shots.
Vertical shooting
The optional MB-N11 power pack features built-in controls for vertical shooting. And you can hot-swap batteries without turning the camera off.
Multimedia power
RAW format on HDMI
Maximum control in publishing. Faster data transfer. The Z 6II lets you connect to an external ATOMOS-compatible recorder to export video in ProRes RAW® format, which preserves all the data from the camera's full-frame sensor in smaller files.
10-bit HDMI output
Get greater flexibility in colour grading. Recording video at a high 10-bit depth allows you to recover vastly more colours than with standard 8-bit recording. With the Z 6II, you can record 10-bit output directly to an external recorder via HDMI.
Hybrid Logging Gamma (HLG)
No more time-consuming colour grading and you can record video footage that can be played back immediately on HDR displays. The camera's HLG shooting format preserves greater detail, dynamic range and contrast without the need for post-processing.
Rugged design
Kick up dusty streets. Brave the mountain. Shoot at the water's edge. Thanks to an extremely strong, lightweight magnesium alloy construction, the Z 6II is easy to carry and rugged enough to use anywhere. It's fully sealed to protect it from dust, dirt and moisture, so it can go with you wherever your inspiration takes you.
Remote shooting
Use the WR-R11b Wireless Remote Controller and WR-1 Wireless Remote Controller for remote shooting or to control external flashes, such as the SB-5000.
High-speed flash
You can even use external flashes to shoot at frame rates up to 14 fps. Achieve greater depth and dimension: illuminate the entire frame at a specific moment.
F-mount lenses
The FTZ Mount Adapter gives you compatibility with over 300 NIKKOR F-mount lenses. From fast prime lenses to super-telephoto lenses and everything in between.

If you're a videographer, this is your Nikon. The camera's full-frame sensor and full pixel readout enable wider dynamic range and cleaner, sharper video footage. AF speed and tracking sensitivity can be adjusted during shooting, and you can use Eye Detection AF and Animal Detection AF during filming. Flexibility in recording speed gives you more options and you can send footage in the way you need.
