The immense 135° angle of view is complemented by an advanced optical design that uses high refractive index, aspherical and low dispersion elements to control a variety of aberrations and distortions for high sharpness, clarity and color accuracy.

The lens features a manual focus design and allows you to work with subjects up to 4.7" away, and its integrated petal-shaped lens hood helps block stray light from causing unwanted lens flare. lens is also characterized by its particularly compact size, which makes it ideal for commuting and travel applications.

• The ultra wide angle lens is designed for Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras.
• Two extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce high clarity and color accuracy.
• Two aspherical elements and one ultra-high refractive index glass element help control distortion and spherical aberrations for improved sharpness and accurate rendering.
• The impressive 135° wide angle of view is combined with a rectilinear design, depicting subjects with minimal distortion to suit landscape and architectural applications. This ultra-wide field of view will exceed that of a rangefinder camera viewfinder and an external electronic viewfinder or live view method must be used to make accurate compositions.
• Attached rangefinder for precise focusing using the camera's viewfinder; even though the lens has a minimum focus distance of 4.7", the lens/rangefinder is only attached for precise focus to 2.3' and this distance is highlighted on the focus distance scale. To work between 4.7" and 2.3' live view methods must be used for accurate focus.
• The built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps prevent stray light from causing lens flare and also offers some physical protection to the front element of the lens.
• The five-bladed diaphragm produces distinct 10-point sun stars and specular highlights when stopped down and shooting point light sources.
